Board cut collection DOTS, FACES & PICASSO

Board cuts with curved, often floral-looking patterns are often found in the architecture of the Salzkammergut. From the 18th century onwards, these cuts were design elements of parapets and wooden loggias. Formally, faces or grimaces can sometimes be seen in the architectural elements. The mystical world and the Alpine customs of the Perchten and Krampus are also inspiration for the furniture series.

We design contemporary patterns and shapes for the new seating range and create 3 different board cuts for the backrest! DOTS, FACES & PICASSO!

In this way we create a protective and comfortable setting for the users of the new bench and armchair to lean back and enjoy the view. Alpine and modern.

Board cuts with curved, often floral-like patterns can be found in the vernacular architecture of the Salzkammergut from the 18th century onwards as a design element of the parapets of wooden loggias, the so-called "Gwantnergänge". In formal terms, the architectural element of the balustrade with its expansive balusters is transferred here into a spatially simplified, flat dimension.
